About Me
In 2004, I experienced a cardiac arrest while working on a telemetry unit. Despite being surrounded by nurses and physicians, no medical intervention was provided. Tragically, experiences like mine are not isolated. Since then, we’ve seen preventable failures in the news: a man pulled into an MRI machine by a metal necklace, a patient given oral medications through an IV, and a patient who received a paralytic instead of a prescribed sedative. Each of these incidents was preventable.
I became a CNA at 18, a CMA in my 20s, earned my ADN in my 30s, and completed my BSN in my 40s. Bright-eyed and determined, I entered nursing ready to change lives—but quickly realized the system often prioritizes illness over wellness.
Today, I focus on improving the quality of life for patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Through nurse coaching, education, advocacy, and personalized support, I help people navigate healthcare safely, prevent errors, reduce stress, and regain control—one person at a time.

Who I Am and What I Do
My name is LaDonna S. Cargill, RN, BSN. I’ve spent over two decades in nursing, often working within a system focused on managing symptoms rather than promoting true wellness. I’ve chosen to redirect my skills toward holistic care, creating a safe space where patients and healthcare professionals can regain autonomy, improve their health, and maintain long-term wellness.
I’ve been privileged to serve as an ICU nurse across multiple specialized units in several states, gaining the experience and insight needed to guide, educate, and advocate for those navigating complex healthcare challenges.
